Nous avons deux nouvelles importantes à vous communiquer.

1/ La première est que notre association CAPJPO-EuroPalestine a gagné le procès qui lui était intenté par le ministère de la Défense, à propos des articles critiques publiés sur notre site sur la présence des troupes françaises en Afghanistan. Les magistrats ont rendu, le 17 septembre dernier, un jugement clair, estimant nous avions exprimé "des opinions légitimes dans le contexte d’un débat politique d’intérêt général." Ils ont donc rejeté aussi bien les accusations d’apologie de crimes que celles d’injures envers l’armée. Vous trouverez les attendus de ce jugement sur http://www.europalestine.com/spip.p… . 2/ Grande Marche pour la liberté de Gaza : appel à participation

La "Gaza Freedom March", coalition internationale initiée aux Etats-Unis, et visant à réunir des milliers de volontaires pour dire NON AU BLOCUS DE GAZA, est désormais lancée ! De tous les pays, des femmes et des hommes s’inscrivent pour participer à cette très belle aventure, qui nous amènera à célébrer le changement d’année en montrant attachement aux droits de l’Homme et au droit international.

L’opération débutera le 27 décembre 2009, un an jour pour jour après le début des bombardements israéliens à la sortie des écoles de la bande de Gaza, afin d’exprimer notre refus de ce siège inhumain, qui affame 1,5 million de personnes depuis plus de trois ans.

Des milliers d’Américains, d’Européens, d’Africains, vont se retouver à la frontière égyptienne de la bande de Gaza (Rafah), tandis que les Israéliens Contre le Blocus convergeront au check-point israélien de Erez. L’objectif est de se retrouver et de marcher dans Gaza pour y fêter avec les familles meurtries, endeuillées, une année que nous nous emploierons, ensemble, à rendre plus juste, plus humaine.

Les initiatives courageuses du Free Gaza et de Viva Palestina ont donné l’exemple. Nous devons être encore plus nombreux, à la fin de cette année, à montrer, qu’en l’absence de volonté de nos dirigeants, il y a des femmes et des hommes qui relèvent la tête, et qui disent NON à l’injustice, OUI à la liberté. Il s’agit d’une manifestation pacifique, qui s’inspire de décennies de résistance palestinienne non violente.

Cet objectif est à notre portée. Pour la France, nous espèrons bien atteindre rapidement un premier cap de 100 inscriptions. De nombreuses associations en France sont parties prenantes de ce projet, avec CAPJPO-EuroPalestine, qui vous propose, si vous pouvez vous libérer du samedi 26 décembre 2009, au samedi 2 janvier 2010, une prise en charge complète, en coordination avec les organisateurs (notamment américains) au niveau international. Le coût total de ce voyage est de 800 euros, comprenant le vol aller-retour de Paris au Caire, le transport jusqu’à Rafah, l’hébergement et l’alimentation durant la semaine. Un acompte de 150 euros est demandé pour l’inscription. Le reste de la somme est à verser au plus tard le 10 décembre 2009.

Les personnes qui approuvent cette initiative, mais sont dans l’incapacité de se joindre à la marche, peuvent la soutenir et contribuer à son succès par leur aide financière. Leurs dons permettront à davantage de volontaires de participer au voyage. Ils peuvent les adresser également à CAPJP0-EuroPalestine, 16 bis rue d’Odessa. 75014 Paris. Un reçu fiscal, pouvant donner lieu à une déduction fiscale de 60 % sur la déclaration d’impôt de 2010 sera envoyé à chaque donateur avant la fin de l’année 2009. Et le mercredi soir 7 octobre, à partir de 19 H 30, deux grands musiciens de jazz, le saxophoniste Gilad ATZMON et le pianiste Frank HARRISON (Grande-Bretagne), viendront donner un concert à la librairie Résistances, au profit de la Marche pour Gaza. L’entrée sera au tarif de 10 euros (avec possibilité de donner davantage !). Retenez cette date !

We have two important pieces of news for you.

1. The first is that our association, CAPJPO-EuroPalestine has won the court case brought against it by the French Minister of Defense concerning the articles published on our web site, which were critical of the presence of French troops in Afghanistan. On September 17 the judges issued a clear decision, declaring that we had expressed "legitimate opinions in the context of a public debate of general interest." 2. Appeal for the Gaza Freedom March

The international Gaza Freedom March, a coalition initiated in the United States with the intention of bringing together thousands of volunteers to say NO TO THE BLOCKADE OF GAZA, has begun ! Men and women from around the world are signing up to participate in this wonderful adventure, which will bring us together to celebrate the New Year showing our attachment to human rights and international law.

The operation will begin on 27 December 2009, exactly one year after the beginning of the Israeli bombardment at the end of the school day in the Gaza Strip, to mark our refusal to accept that inhuman siege, which has starved 1.5 million people for more than three years.

Thousands of Americans, Europeans and South-Africans will gather at the frontier between Egypt and the Gaza Strip (Rafah), while at the same time Israelis Against The Blockade will converge at the Israeli checkpoint at Erez. The objective will be to join together to march through Gaza to celebrate there with wounded and grieving families, the coming of a year which, together we will work to make more just and more humane.

With the courageous initiatives of Free Gaza and Viva Palestina, which have given the example, we want to be even more numerous to show, that in the absence of will on the part of our leaders, there are men and women who raise their heads high and say NO to injustice, YES to freedom. It will be a peaceful demonstration, inspired by decades of non-violent Palestinian resistance.

This objective is within our reach. We hope to have at least 100 volunteers from france very soon.

A number of associations in France are participating in this project with CAPJPO-EuroPalestine. We propose, in coordination with the international (notably the Americans) organizers, to take charge of all details, from Saturday 26 December 2009 through Saturday 2 January 2010. The total cost will be 800 euros, including round trip flight from Paris to Cairo, transport to Rafah, and food and lodging during the week. We ask for 150 euros deposit to get registered. The balance will be due on 10 December, at the latest.

Those who are in favor of this action, but are unable to join the march, can support the effort and contribute to its success with their financial aid. And the evening of Wednesday 7 October, beginning at 19h30 two grand jazz musicians, the saxophonist Gilad Atzmon and the pianist Frank Harrison (GB) will give a concert at the Librarie Résistances in support of the Gaza March.
